If you live in Bari or Puglia, reaching our clinic in Tirana is simpler than you imagine: you have two entrance doors for Albania. The first is Karol Wojtyła Airport, with direct flights of around 55 minutes and return fares starting from €39-50. The second is the port: a ferry leaves for Durres every day, and from the Albanian pier to the clinic it takes 35 minutes by car. Hundreds of Apulian patients leave Bari every year: Sanitadental has been in Tirana since 2014 and has already treated over 1,500 Italian patients, with Straumann® and Nobel Biocare® materials and a 10-year written guarantee on the implants.

How to get from Bari to Tirana
By plane. From Bari-Palese airport (Karol Wojtyła) direct flights to Tirana take approximately 55 minutes: less than a Bari-Rome by train. The return journey is usually between €39 and €50 by booking a few weeks in advance. Door to door — from your home to the clinic reception — count about 4 hours.
By ferry. A ferry leaves every day from the port of Bari to Durres: the crossing lasts 8-11 hours depending on the company, you travel at night in a cabin and tickets start from €35. Durres is 35 minutes from Tirana and our transfer will pick you up directly at the pier. It's the ideal solution if you want to bring your car or if flights on your dates are expensive. We talk about it in detail in the guide Bari-Durres ferry for the dentist.
We will organize the trip
You don't have to book anything yourself: once the quote is approved, our staff organizes flight (or ferry), 4-star hotel and transfer for the entire stay. When you land in Tirana — or when you disembark in Durres — you will find our driver with a sign with your name, and a Italian coordinator follows you from the first day to the last check-up. All the details of the route are on the page how it works.
How much does it cost in total: travel + treatment
Let's do a concrete calculation, starting from Bari. 4 systems: in Italy you would spend between €6,000 and €10,000 (€1,500-2,500 per system). With us the price list is €600 per system (and promotions start from €350): total €2,400. Add return flights for €39-50 — hotel and transfers are included — and the full trip is around €2.500. The real saving, once the ticket has been paid, is €3,500-7,500.
Same goes for the zirconium crowns: in Italy €600-1,200 each, in Italy €250. On a 6-piece bridge the difference pays for the trip many times over. The quote is written, arrives within 24 hours of the x-ray and remains blocked for 30 days. See the detail on the page dental implants.
How many times do you come to Tirana
For theimplantology 2 trips are needed: the first of 3-5 days for visit, CT scan (included) and insertion of implants; the second after 3-6 months, the time of osseointegration, for the definitive crowns. With the 55-minute flight from Bari, every trip weighs like a weekend away. For aesthetics and veneers generally just one trip is enough.
