It's one of the first questions everyone asks us, and rightly so: every trip is about time, holidays and organisation. The answer depends on biology, not on our convenience: an implant needs months to integrate into the bone, and no serious clinic — in any country — can erase these times. Anyone who promises "everything in one journey, definitive immediately" is skipping a clinical step. Here is the real scheme.
Implantology: 2 trips, that's why
For dental implants and rehabilitations on implants are needed 2 trips:
- First trip (3–5 days): Cone Beam CT included, visit, implant surgery, application of the temporary restoration. You come home with your teeth, never without them;
- Wait 3–6 months: the bone integrates with the implant. It's biology, not bureaucracy;
- Second trip (3–5 days): definitive impressions, tests and delivery of the final zirconium or ceramic prostheses.
For complete arches (All on 4, All on 6, Toronto Bridge) the scheme is the same: the immediate loading of the temporary takes place in the first trip, the definitive one in the second.
Aesthetics and prosthetics on natural teeth: often just 1 trip
Veneers, zirconium crowns on your own teeth, inlays: with our internal laboratory in general a 4–7 day trip is enough. First visit and preparation in the first days, aesthetic tests halfway through the stay, final delivery before departure. The limit is ceramic, which has its own laboratory times: for this reason we recommend not to go below 4 days.
