Choosing a clinic abroad doesn't have to be a leap in the dark. There is a method: ten concrete checks, all feasible in Italy before spending a euro. If a clinic passes ten out of ten, the risk is drastically reduced. If three or four fail, forget it — even if the price is beautiful. And yes: this list applies to us too. In fact, we'll tell you how we respond point by point.

The first 5 points: who is the clinic
- Is it a real clinic or an agency? The agencies collect patients and pass them on to third-party practices: no direct responsibility. Ask for the exact address and photos of the property.
- Does it exist legally? Check your VAT number (NIPT) for free on qkb.gov.al, the public register of Albanian companies.
- Who is the responsible doctor? Name and surname, before paying anything. Here he is Dr. Ledjo Kapaj, and the clinic has been the same since 2014.
- How many years has it been operating? A clinic that has been open for 10+ years has a verifiable history; not one born yesterday.
- How many Italian patients have you treated? Not as a boast, but as proof of experience with your specific path (travel, follow-up, documents). Us: over 1,500.
Steps 6–10: How it works
- Materials with certificate of authenticity. Straumann® or Nobel Biocare® implants with lot and serial delivered to you; certified ceramics (we use Ivoclar IPS e.max®).
- Documented sterilization. Ask which standard they follow: the right answer is EN 13060, with validated cycles.
- Written guarantee. Signed document, precise duration (ours: 10 years implants, 5 years prosthetics and veneers), explicit exclusions.
- Estimate signed and blocked. Written, detailed, with a price set for a defined period (ours: 24 hours to receive it, 30 days of validity).
- Verifiable reviews. On independent platforms, with credible names and stories. Ours: 4.9/5 on over 480 reviews.
The warning signs that should stop you
- Quote only verbally or by message, without signed document;
- Request for full advance payment;
- «We will decide the doctor on the spot»;
- No written guarantee or unconditional "lifetime" guarantee (it's a classic mirror);
- Prices too low for materials declared premium: original Straumann® at €150 does not exist, in any country.

The final step: the awkward question test
Before you decide, ask every clinic the same uncomfortable question: «What happens if the implant fails after two years, when I am in Italy?». The right answer speaks of remote follow-up, organized return and guarantee that covers the case. If the answer is vague or reassuring but without details, you have your answer. We find it written here: system guarantee. And for any check on us: contacts.
