A warranty is only as good as the document it is written on. “Lifetime warranty” shouted in an advertisement does not cover anything; a signed contract with duration, coverage and exclusions yes. Here you will find exactly what the Sanitadental Clinic guarantee covers, what invalidates it and how it works when you have returned to Italy — because that is where the guarantee proves its value.
What it covers: 10 years implants, 5 years prosthetics and veneers
- Implants (10 years): in case of implant failure (lack of osseointegration or loss of the implant) we cover the removal, re-insertion of a new implant of the same brand (Straumann® or Nobel Biocare®) and the connected prosthesis;
- Crowns, bridges and prostheses (5 years): structural fractures, decementations, laboratory defects. The defective broken zirconium crown is remade, not repaired;
- Veneers (5 years): detachments or fractures not due to trauma;
- Clinical costs included: when the case is covered, the return to the clinic is also organized by us according to the conditions of the document.
What invalidates it (and why it is right to know beforehand)
Every serious warranty has conditions. Ours, explicit in the signed document:
- Lack of checks: photographic checks scheduled in the remote follow-up and at least annual professional hygiene are needed (also at your dentist in Italy, keeping the receipt);
- Traumas and accidents: a broken tooth due to a fall is not a defect in the work;
- Undeclared pathologies or arising later (decompensated diabetes, bisphosphonate therapies) which compromise osteointegration;
- Third party interventions on our work without our written consent;
- Unprotected bruxism: If we prescribe a night plate and you don't use it, weight-bearing fractures are not covered.
Does that seem like a lot of clauses? They are the same ones you find in any serious medical guarantee, including in Italy. The difference is that we tell you first, in writing and in Italian.
How remote follow-up works
90% of post-surgery doubts are resolved without travelling. Our protocol:
- Scheduled photo checks at 7 days, 1 month, 3 and 6 months: you send us guided photos, the clinical team evaluates them;
- Dedicated Italian coordinator as first contact for any symptoms;
- Support network in Italy: for emergencies that require an immediate look (e.g. decementation of a temporary restoration), we will direct you to a colleague near you and we will refund or re-credit the intervention according to the conditions of the guarantee;
- Organized return in covered cases requiring clinic.

Because we work on factors that reduce failures at the source: original Straumann® and Nobel Biocare® implants with certificate of authenticity, Cone Beam CT planning included in every case, EN 13060 sterilization, and the same doctor in charge — Dr. Ledjo Kapaj — since 2014.
